It is committed in responsible fishing, using the traditional eco-friendly fishing techniques (fishing-line and hook). This technique guarantees the preservation of the species and maintains the best of its nature, ensuring the best tuna flavour, and keeps all its nutritive properties. The Santa-Catarina’s recipes are traditional from the Azores mixing herbs and spices. Azorean cuisine is rich in spices from its history as a stopover point for caravels carrying the spices.
Received 5 Awards in 2012 and 2013 in National Food Products Contests. In the 20 years of the brand, Santa Catarina won another prize: the Best of the Best 2015 with 2 stars ranking at the great Taste Award for its tuna fillets with fennel.
